High Pressure Heater

The High Pressure Heater is a key device in the regenerative system of thermal power plants. Its job is to use extraction steam from the turbine to heat boiler feedwater. This raises the feedwater temperature to the required level before it enters the boiler. Higher feedwater temperature significantly improves the overall cycle thermal efficiency of the unit. It also reduces coal consumption for power generation. The High Pressure Heater is typically located between the feedwater pump outlet and the boiler inlet. It operates under very high feedwater pressure and temperature. This makes it one of the most technically demanding and safety‑critical auxiliary devices in power plants. Qingdao Hongyuanfeng Power Equipment Co., Ltd. manufactures High Pressure Heaters according to GB/T 150 "Pressure Vessels" and ASME standards. The shell is rolled and welded from high‑quality carbon steel or low‑alloy steel plates. The tube bundle uses U‑shaped stainless steel or carbon steel tubes. The tube‑to‑tubesheet connection uses strength rolling or welding plus rolling. This ensures long‑term leak‑free operation. We hold licensed pressure vessel design and manufacturing qualifications. All welders hold corresponding qualifications.

Our High Pressure Heaters have design pressure ranging from 10MPa to 40MPa. Design temperature ranges from 200°C to 400°C. Heat transfer area is determined by unit capacity. For 300MW units, the area is about 800‑1,500 square meters. For 600MW and above, it can exceed 2,000 square meters. The equipment diameter ranges from 1,000mm to 2,500mm. The total length ranges from 8,000mm to 15,000mm. Our certified inspectors perform non‑destructive testing on every weld, including radiography and ultrasonic testing. The hydrostatic test pressure is 1.25 times the design pressure. Monthly production capacity is 2‑3 vessels. Delivery takes 2‑3 months.
