Angle Support Structure

The Angle Support Structure is a special structure used to change the direction of conductors inside a substation. When transmission lines enter the substation, the conductors need to turn to connect to different equipment bays in various directions. The Angle Support Structure provides reliable support at the turning point and withstands the horizontal pull from the change in direction. The forces on an Angle Support Structure are more complex than on a straight structure. The design must reinforce the inner and outer sides of the angle differently. Qingdao Hongyuanfeng Power Equipment Co., Ltd. manufactures Angle Support Structures using steel pipes or H‑beams. We perform asymmetric structural design based on the turning angle and conductor tension. All components receive hot‑dip galvanizing with a zinc coating of at least 86μm. This meets GB/T 2694‑2018 standards. We provide precise angle design and structural calculations based on the substation layout and conductor routing.

Our Angle Support Structures range from 8 meters to 20 meters in height. The specific height is determined by voltage level and conductor sag. The line turning angle ranges from 0° to 90°. The maximum horizontal tension design value ranges from 30kN to 120kN. Maximum wind speed capacity is 35 m/s, and earthquake resistance is grade 8. Our production lines include 8 fully automatic angle steel lines, 4 large laser cutting machines, and 6 submerged arc welders. Monthly capacity is sufficient and standard delivery takes 15‑20 days.
